I'm starting an ADF tank ...5 gal with filter and heater....3 frogs....Java ferns for sure maybe a lily and some moss. Can I have shrimp too? What kinds? How many? Any plants especially for them? Thanks tor any input!

Yes you can.
You can go for your basic Neocaridinia varieties-Red, Yellow, Blue, Orange,Snow, Jelly...etc...However, there is a possibility that your ADF will eat baby shrimplets. The plants you listed is also good for the Shrimps. I would really get Java moss so that the shrimplets have a place to hide.
You can also get Amano shrimps and they are bigger than Neos. I would be hesistant about getting Ghost Shrimps because they can be a bit aggressive and predatory.

Do the ratios of shrimp per gallon vary if they are in a tank with other critters vs the ratio offered in the sticky for a shrimp plant only tank? Depending on frog per gal rate (ive had great success years ago with in a filtered 3 gal with 3 frogs) ive got 2 gallons of unclaimed tank.....how many shrimp would be reasonable?

If you are going with Neos, I would start off with 10. Neos have low bioload and not sure of the ratio of shrimp to gallon.
I'm assuming this 5 g rectangle

So a. Little more research and I have more questions....I really like the berry blue neos....fun color and reallly active and non aggressive. Would it be better to do a small colony of the blueberry and indivual amano or equal amounts of each? Or should I choose one or the other in such a small tank?

I would honestly choose one type of shrimp.

Is it space limit or would they not get along thankless?
.I may be sharing a group of the blue berry with my mom....she has a 50 gal community tank with a ghost shrimp....would the 2 different species do poorly together in her larger tank?

Ghost shrimps are predatory and there is a possibility of eating shrimplets.
50 gallon you can do two species without any probelm (neo and caridina).
I suggested only doing one species is because I'm assuming you are new to dwarf shrimp and didn't want you to waste your money on trying to keep two species alive and well. My suggestion is focus on one species and if it is thriving introduce another species down the line.

Great suggestion. Ive done several trop fresh water and cold fresh water tanks in the past but the shrimp are a new venture. They are still months out tho....gotta make sure frogs are well established before adding anything else. But planning now gives the Java moss plenty of time to get established...and a potential second varity of shrimp if the blue ones do well seems a much better plan than two new species at the same time. Besides its way more fun if the tank is always slowly changing

I love dwarf shrimps. This is probably my newest favorite. I'm trying look for them so I can breed them.

I actually emailed that site to see when they might have the blue jelly again....I'm stuck between those( if I can find them) the blue berry and the blue rilI .....blue metallic or see thru or see thru with green stomach.....but I have some time to stew and keep watching

Looking at the eliteinvert.com site again....I think the shrimp in ur video might be the blue rili...the one they have listed as the jelly is all electric blue without a stomach definition.....the ones in the video have the defined colored stomach like their rilI picture.....they have blue rilI in stock....

I think you are right about the video being Blue Rilis, just a mislabeling. I still prefer the look of blue jellys though

Both are nifty clear blue shrimp either way....since the jelly is bred from the rilI do you think their accidential interbreeding g would result in a mix of blue varatitions or would u end up with mud shrimp? Then I could get the rilI first and maybe a jelly or three if they evenbecome more than a picture tease again....I think I would be ok with blue mutants....

I've always wondered about that because I had an idea of cross breeding Orange Pumpkin Shrimp with Fire Yellow Shrimps to get a Orange/Yellowish color but was told it would revert back to brownish color.

But wasn't the cross breeding to create the variety was to stablize the ressesive color trait? In eye color for people blue mom and dad usually have blue eyed kids....some revert to dominatebrown but resessive to ressesive usually produces the resessive.....someone here with a neon and CRS blog had size variation with different CRS base genetics but little color variation....maybe we should ask them

I think with Rogue, all of them were Red Cherry Shrimps but unrelated lines from different location. It was one color morph of Neos.
With Yellow and Orange are both different color variations of Neos.
