Shrimp Only Tank Question

I got a used 10gal setup with gravel, hood, internal filter which I put a Knee-High on and I'm getting a double sponge filter. How do I cycle it without fish? Safe Start says you can add fish immediately but what about shrimp? My other tanks are dirted and planted but I only have Java Moss in this one. How do I make it a nice, safe home for my shrimp and how long will it take. I can add media from my other tanks but when do I add my shrimp? Any help will be appreciated. BTW my temp usually runs 78-79 (I'm cold blooded) so I don't have a heater but can get one if necessary.

Shrimp are sensitive. I suggest adding a cycle fish or add pure Ammonia

Most shrimp are fine at 78-79 degrees. I've used TSS with ghost shrimp in the tank successfully, but that's not a chance I'd take with pricier RCS, CRS, blue velvets, etc. I'd either TSS cycle with fish (that would then move into a different tank) or do a fishless cycle for the more costly species.
