Shrimp only tank water changes?

I'm wondering how often I would need to do a water change if I have a 30 gallon planted tank like full of plants and cycled with just a shrimp colony.

Shrimp have such a small biology I wonder if I could get away with a water change once a month or so... all my other tanks I do 25% water changes weekly.

Its a project id like to do next year as my mom says she would love a planted tank but doesn't want to pay much more on water bill but is OK if its small once a month water changes or very small water changes.

In a planted tank 25% should be enough. IME shrimps prefer small and frequent wc. In my 2*7g, I do a weekly 10% with same temperature water to avoid forced molting.

I had a 30 shrimp tank. What I don’t get is are my shrimp the only dirty shrimp? I mean I change every other week or weekly and the water when I vacume comes out black. Plants grow great but waste in gravel was massive.
