5 Gallon Tank Shrimp in cycled tank

I am planning to get a 5g tank , I want to put there a betta, some cherry shrimps and a nerite snail .
I know some people say shrimps aren’t compatible with betta fish because the betta would attack them, but I think adding the shrimps before the betta would reduce the risk of them being attacked by a betta protecting its territory , I know it could eat the small shrimps, but I am ok with that
My question is: can I add the shrimp in the aquarium after one month of cycling the aquarium by fish food and its bio filter which is being seeded by bacteria in my main tank until now ( and so for the heater ) ?
Because I don’t know if the shrimp can tolerate a one month old cycled tank.
should I wait for maybe two months before adding the shrimp into the tank which should contain the betta ?
I think If I did that I would extract the betta from the tank and change the places of the plants and decorations then add the shrimps before the betta.
What do y’all think?

It depends... you need to test your water. Shrimp are very sensitive to nitrites and ammonia. You should have started the cycle by the processes you have but only a test can tell you if you're really cycled.

As for the shrimp in with the betta, I personally never had it work but if you provide A LOT of hiding spots there is a chance.

I still didn’t buy the aquarium
I should start the cycle the day I get the aquarium
And as for the shrimps , if so, I can keep my shrimps in their aquarium, but I think that the small shrimps can keep the betta from being hungry.

I would add some snails first. Snails are very sensitive to water quality and they can used as indicators of whether the tank is ready or not

Ok that sounds as a good idea

Actually I got the tank today and I was wondering if I can put a plakat betta in a 5 gallon or this type of betta needs more gallons? if you’re not sure I can post a new thread and ask about that

5g is good but bigger tank is of course better. As long as there are vegetation for the betta to rest on close to the surface, you can have as big of a tank as you want. I had a betta in my 75g before.
