I was super excited this morning when I looked into my tank and saw my first Shrimp with eggs and she is busting with them. I can't wait for little shrimp babies!

She may loose a couple there but she looks mature enough to know what's she's doing
Given how packed she is I'm sure that loosing a few may be a good thing, lol.

All those eggs are fertile and if she did loose any and you were fortunate to be there and rescue rescue them it's possible to tumble those lost eggs and hatch them, even though I've got 1000s of shrimp I still love doing that when shrimp die with eggs

Yes eggs are put in a specialised container which is easy to make or buy and and airline attached eggs are slowly tumbled to stop infection just like shrimp use their swimmers to keep them cool, YouTube tumbling shrimp eggs

That is neat info. Thanks. I found a second female all full of eggs this morning. Hope I won't need to have to tumble but I'm willing to try if I end up out of options.

I am very excited to be over run, lol. This is the first time I've kept shrimp and I've been struggling with them for a while until I was put in touch with a local guy who has had his colony 10+ years and I got some males from him. Now I'm starting to be hopeful.

awesome!!! I struggled a bit at first to get them breeding but once they started, never stopped lol So you will have a tank full of them soon. Shrimps are awesome

I'm afraid to even touch the tank at this point, lol. All the parameters have been very stable for a while so other than topping up evaporated water and rinsing out the filter material every once in a while I'm not having to do anything.

Only when needed. The filtration, plants, shrimp and Nerite snails are taking care of the bioload. So I test regularly and do a water change only if I have to which isn't even weekly at this point.
