Shrimp dead, fish gasping help!!

I rescaped my ta k following a water change 2 days before. Yesterday everyone settled in well and was happy but I woke up this morning to a cloudy tank and most of my shrimp dead!!!! My pea puffer and badis are at the top gasping and my water is foggy.
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Ammonia 0
Ph at around 7.2 (just woke up having a hard time with exact reading)
Temp at 75°
I increased the flow of my filter to get some oxygen down to my fish, but i need help with cloudy water and why my shrimp have died. All i can think is my ph dropped from 7.5?? Please help!!! This tank has been running for months!!!

 

I would add more aeration and make several small water changes. It seems some gases may have been released from the substrate when rescaping. Increasing filter flow was wise.

Okay, i can do a quick mini change before i go to work. My poor puffer im so worried about her

Ive added 2 airstones for now, ive got to go to work but im really hoping my poor puffer makes it i feel terrible

 

All is peaceful in tiny puffer land once again, lacking a few shrimp unfortunatly but the murder bean still rules

 

Balance in the tank is so delicate. just last week my tank suddenly turned cloudy. though shirmps and fish all ok..the cloudy tank erks me...finally found out the overground plants were the culpirt!

trimmed the plants and balance restored..and clear water after just 12 hours. amazing.
all the week of dosing clarity...stability...water change didnt help a thing until i trim the plants.
