OK, here's an amano shrimp on his own, enjoying... shrimp pellets! I don't mean the pellets are made out of shrimp, I mean they are made FOR shrimp. There's this strong attractant in it that makes the shrimps detect it. Clever stuff, hey, fish food.

At least I htink it's an amano shrimp. Now that I look at the picture, he seems to have that brown and white line. Huh?! How can my shrimp change overnight? Looks like we may have a stowaway from a trip to the fishstore.

She really justs wants to brag about her zebra otos and coolie loaches and even dwarf puffers. lol Great pics.

Got some Amano Shrimp yesterday, here's the monster of the group, it's almost 2" long and gives my Bamboo shrimp a run for it's money.

Videos of some of my little ones. The blues that are newer, and then up close of my ghostie having dinner, can definitely see everything moving inside her, which I find to be awesome.

Amanos breed easily but the shrimplets need brackish water to survive (and be fed a specific diet) before being able to return to freshwater. So it's much more complicated than most other freshwater nano shrimps.

 

My shrimps aren't shy at all! Also this particular Red Cherry has a purplish tint to it (which doesn't show too much on the picture), and I wonder where that comes from. Never heard of a Purple Davidii, for sure people would pay a good deal to get some !

 

I had a purplish RCS! Unfortunately, my betta found it and ate it Hundreds to choose from and he had to eat that one

 

I just received 5 and one was purplish like that too.
