Should I Trust How My Fish Are Doing By The Way They Look?

IMG_4817.JPG Hello !!
This website has helped me with my fish for a while, so I decided to make an account and ask a question of my own
So, I have two black moor goldfish and I have been suspecting that they've been suffering from an internal bacterial infection or a …*shudders* parasite.
So, that being said I have been treating them with with Tetra Lifeguard (one has holes in his fins and one that's been clamped. It's been improving since starting the medication) and API PIMAFix (I've heard that they're safe to use together since PIMAFix is natural, and I've had no ill-affects at this point). I've also been adding the correct dosage of freshwater aquarium salt. They seem a lot more energetic and lively today (though earlier they had been quite lazy and lethargic until I did a 25% water change and added aquarium salt and said medications) and the white spots they had (which I've heard is common for fish with internal infections or parasites) have been fading quite rapidly. The two black moors still kind of swim on their sides and sometimes float with their heads down (which again, I've read is normal for sick fish ??)
So, I'm just wondering if I should continue what I'm doing, or move onto a more thorough treatment such as an anti-parasitic food medication or liquid medication
P.s. They're appitite is increasing again, thankfully.

Update: the smaller one has gotten quite lethargic and is chilling near the heater and it doesn't seem to be hurting him (and I touched it myself under the water, it's okay). He is breathing and moving his fins every once in a while. Is he just sleeping or is he dying ??

Thanks

Tank size: 25 gal
Ph Level: 7.5
Nitrite Level: 0
Ammonia Level: 0

P.s. They're poop is still kind of white and stringy, so does that mean I should definitely move onto a parasite oral medication ??

Update: one of them (the bigger one) just flung around a bit and started to stop swimming, just twitching violently. The other did that early after hitting the wall
I have no idea what to do at this point

Welcome to FishLore!
Kanaplex is a very effective medication for any internal problem. Tetra Lifeguard is great but it's better for less serious problems and external problems. It doesn't really seem that your fish has been improving vastly and that makes me think you should try to treat with something a little more powerful. They might not pull through at this point though. The smaller one is probably acting sick and not sleeping.

I'll try to get my hands on it tomorrow !! Their appitite has been getting better, so I'm just hoping for the best at this point.
Thank you for the recommendation, I'll try to get it asap

Sounds good.
Best of luck to you and your fish.

The smallest one let go today... it's really sad.
I don't think the other one is going to make it either. He's not eating and his scales are becoming discolored. He's not swimming anymore, just staring at his reflection on the walls. I'm going to euthanize him tonight, sadly, as I have no other alternative to helping him at this point. I'm going to give him a clove oil bath, let him go peacefully. There's not much else I can do than help him go peacefully.
Before I restart the tank and try again, I'm going to get everything I need for an ranchu or another black moor goldfish. I'm definitely going to invest in some stronger medications.
I appreciate the help, thank you so much

I'm so sorry to hear that.
You honestly seem to be doing everything right but sadly internal bacterial infections can be very hard to treat for even experienced fish keepers. I hope you have better luck with your goldfish in the future. I'm glad I could help to some extent and again I'm sorry about your black moors.
