The amazon sword and bacopa I bought both came with their roots packaged in what appears to be something akin to a plastic wrap and have a small cone of harder plastic around them. I did a bleach dip with these pots attached, and I have no idea if I should remove the plastic pots or not and if I should how can I go about that without hurting the plants??

Yes, you should gently remove them. You can do it ;)

You will need to remove them togive the roots room to grow.

Remove the pot and peel off as much rock wool as possible. Give the roots a rinse, trim them back if necessary, and plant. :)
