The amazon sword and bacopa I bought both came with their roots packaged in what appears to be something akin to a plastic wrap and have a small cone of harder plastic around them. I did a bleach dip with these pots attached, and I have no idea if I should remove the plastic pots or not and if I should how can I go about that without hurting the plants??

You will need to remove them togive the roots room to grow.

Remove the pot and peel off as much rock wool as possible. Give the roots a rinse, trI'm them back if necessary, and plant.
