Should I Follow Shop Owner's Directions Or The Directons On The Bottle?

Recently I purchased some worming tablets for my 20L aquarium, and the shop worker said to put 1 tablet in and leave it for 3 days, and do a tank clean before treating again the day after. However, the directions on the worming bottle that they came in says to put 1 tablet in and leave it for 2 days, do a tank clean, and wait a whole week before treating again. The shop worker seemed legitimate as they had heaps of their own aquariums there, which no doubt cop problems every now and then too. Who's directions seem the most logical?

I'd follow the direction on the bottle because the manufacture knows best about it's own products.

 

Follow the packet. Stores can be notorious for giving bad advice, though less so when it comes to medicine dosage. Also like Repolie said the manufacturer knows better than the salesperson.

Thanks, just wasn't sure if they had had experience with the product and thought it worked best when done differently to the actual directions on the bottle? Who knows.

Ha...ha...ha... I must admit though that if it had been a chain pet store or some other dodgy place like that I probably would've thought that (in fact I'm sure the reason those places are so well known for giving out stupid advice is probably so the person is forced to restock once their fish die after one week of having them...). Thankfully that wasn't the case though. Decided I will stick to the bottle directions and wait another week before treating again.
