Should I euthanize. Fish have got worse

I have 2 fish that aren’t doing well 1 cherry barb and one blue powder dwarf gourami. The gourami had a big stomach and was leaning to the side and was getting picked on in the other tank. So I moved him and he was getting better. But then today I checked and now he just lays on his side and won’t get up and if he does it isn’t for long. The cherry barb is doing the same thing but has been doing it for the whole time and he is also missing a fin. They both have swim bladder disease also. I feel so bad for them because it looks like they send trying so hard to live and eat but it’s not enough. I think it’s my fault to because the gourami was getting better but I haven’t cleaned the tank in like a week or doesed medicine again. I feel so bad what should I do? Thanks!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems. You did a good thing by moving him to reduce stress.

Are they both in the same tank now ?
What are you medicating with and to treat what?
Can you do a water change now ?

I’m not sure if you’ve posted about this before but maybe filling out the emergency template will give people more information to help you better .

yes I have old post on this. the cherry barb is in a 40 gallon he doesn't seem stressed by the fish. The gourami is in a 20 gallon. yes I can do a water change I will do one right now. I am treating with prazi pro and quarium salt. I want to add medicine to there food so that it will help with the internal parasites but they aren't really eating. I am treating swim bladder disease for both of them, constipation on the gourami, malnutrition on the cherry barb, and internal parasites for both of them. I haven't re dosed the tanks with meds in like 5 days because I keep forgetting. Is there anything else I should dose to help? Thanks!

Water changes are always a good idea. It’s probably a good idea to stick to any dosing regime for it to effectively work and prevent re-dosing which is just more stress for the fish and creates the problem of the parasite building immunity.

Well it seems like you have a lot going on there ! For constipation daphnia are great. For bloating a couple of starve days usually works. You can buy good quality frozen foods with added vitamins and garlic to save you soaking flakes, just avoid bloodworms.

I can’t recommend anything further without knowing more or seeing the other post. Assuming you have a 100% positive identification of what you’re treating for , Complete the dosing regime for now and keep everything calm, keep lights off too in the 20 for a while, your fish will feel safer and less stressed.

Good luck !
And I hope you don’t have to euthanise.

ok I am not sure how to link my other post but they are recent post so if you went on my account you could probably find them. I will dose again after my water change. I noticed that after I stopped dosing, gill flukes came back on my red tail shark. how long should I dose for? also how often should I change water because it says one treatment for prazipro is 5 days and every 3 days you can redose it. also how often should I redose salt? After every water change? Thanks for the help!
