Should I Adopt This Tank?

42 dollars for a 55 gallon tank - you have nothing to lose; you are always going to recoup your money even if you do nothing with it.

My 45 gallon was the same way. Pretty scratched up. I told mom I wouldn't get bigger then a 55 unless I bought a house. (Renting and both parents thing fish are a waste of money) when I moved I knew that the next tank was gonna be there for a long time and seeing as I had to rip the 45 down anyways, now was the best time to upgrade. I wanted a specific sized tank, 55 gallon ish but 18" wide unstead of 12", and almost dropped 600$ on a custom tank. Called another guy and ended up with a 60 gallon(70 if I filled it all the way) out of 3/8" glass for 250$. Stand was an old TV stand that I repainted and it looks fabulous. Bought some glass for lids and then whole big cost maybe 300$.
Every now and then you end up getting a fabulous deal. Way to go and hope you enjoy your shiny new tank. I sure do.
