Hey guys I’m looking for some advice I have this spare 7gallon that I’m using to regenerate some of my plants that were dying(this tank grows plants really well for some reason)the only stocking is this really old sparkling gourami that my lfs gifted me and I just though it would be a cool idea to add some easy keeping shrimp what do you guys think I have relatively soft and low ph water And tank is fully cycled btw it’s been setup for about 3 months
Here’s a picture of the tank

Before you decide to add shrimp it'll be a good idea to know exactly what your gh,kh,ph are this will determine which species to add, the other factor to bare in mind is the size of the Gourami

The gouramis going to be moved I’ll get back to you in the rest
The ph is around 6.8 I don’t have a test kit for the gh and kh but I can got to my lfs for them to test it for me. Out of the tap though I think the gh and kh are 50ppm and 40ppm so I pretty soft water

If your gh is 50ppm then you'd be looking at caradina like black bee and crystal reds, the ph of 6.8 should be ok although they do like it lower
50ppm is to low for cheŕies

Note that shrimp are very sensitive to ammonia and dead plants will release the stuff into the water. Be careful with the dying plants. Other than that, I agree with the comment above.
