Okay, this is not funny but sometimes you've got to laugh to keep from crying, right?
Today during wc I was trying to decide if I should clean the front glass or let it go another week. I decided to take a closer look and what did I see but an oto fry! Knowing how hard they are to keep, let alone breed, I was shocked and elated and surprised and all sorts of emotions mixed into one. I ran and grabbed my phone to get some pics (terrible...ever try taking a picture of a piece of thread underwater with an old iPhone?) I was trying to get the camera to focus by holding a pencil up beside the fry, then I thought maybe my finger might work better so I put down the pencil and put my finger up to the glass. Right when I went to snap a picture one of my pearl danios, curious about what I was doing I guess, came over to the glass, caught sight of the fry, and sucked it right off the glass
I just stood there in disbelief! This poor little thing just hanging out and I had to go and point it out to get eaten, ugh!!! A few minutes later I spotted another fry but we're going to keep the paparazzi at bay until/unless it gets bigger than snack-sized.
