Transitioning tank to a planted Lake Tanganyika setup and was wondering where the best place is to purchase shells for shell dwellers.
Thanks!

Escargot shells on amazon work.
Widely used, environment friendly 9 out of 10 times and really cheap. Usually 1/10 of the price you pay at the LFS. But look carefully at the description, sometimes the snails are frozen and still in the shells.

Lots of times I go to an LFS and they ask 15-20 dollars for a handful of shells. Escargot for the win :D

The funny thing is those at the stores are often escargot, too. A special "for use in aquaria" label makes many things sell for much more than the normal price. :D
