Shellgrit question from a newbie

Hi
I have read various threads about using cuttlefish as a calcium supplement.
My question is will the shrimps graze on the cuttlefish or is it more of a breaking down and tiny deposits landing on moss?

Thanks for helping a newbie

I think it's more about calcium dissolving out into the water if it becomes too acidic. Though I suppose they would eat tiny bits that broke off it if they came across it

I use shellgrit as well because it's easier for me to get here and much cheaper

My snails and shrimp will graze on the cuttlebone. Not sure if they're eating it or eating stuff that is on it, but I do see them on it off and on.
