I am new to having Shell Dwellers. My tank parameters are within a good range (super high dH, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 10-20 Nitrate). I am working on raising pH because it was good but has gone down to about 7.8 with water changes. I've had them in their tank for about a month now. I have 7 of them, they each have 2-3 shells to themselves. Substrate is finer sand.
They aren't digging... I can see that they will put some sand on top of the shells or inside them, but I'm not seeing their characteristic excavations. Is this because they are young? I think they are still a bit juvenile. I haven't seen any lip locking or signs of aggression.
