This is my daughter's baby adopted from the local shelter in 2005. Shawna is Grey Tabby. Shawna is about 4 to 5 years old. The vets are very unsure. She was a stray. :'(

Another beautiful cat. And again ... what were the vets "unsure" about? The same situation in both cats' cases?

Oh sorry, they are unsure about the age and thanks!

Shawna was put to sleep today! She became very ill from a hidden virus. She was laid to rest under the shade tree in our front yard. My daughter is very sad.

:'( :'( :'(

Any idea where she got the virus from? Maybe it was the poisoned cat food?

The vets say that she probably had it b4 we adopted her, it just didn't show up til now. I never bought any of the food that was tainted. I only fed my cats one type of food and it wasn't included with the recall. :'(

Maybe it was the feline immunodeficiency virus or the feline leukemia virus? These are deadly cat diseases. Cats with feline leukemia can live long lives if cared for properly, but the disease can suddenly get worse at any time, and kill the cat quickly. Feline immunodeficiency virus kills very fast though; cats with this virus don't have long lives.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your kitty. They are like children to those of use who love them.
she was a beautiful cat.
Cat diseases seem to kill very quickly.
