Just wanted to share my kids with everyone. I have learned so much about bettas on this site. After all if it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't even have one betta; let alone FIVE!!! ha ha

First up: Windago (blue)

He chose to starve himself for the first 2-3 weeks that I had him, so now that he has reformed, he is paranoid about food. So much so that he often misses seeing it float by him. Too busy dancing, begging and generally getting hystarical at the sight of me

2nd: Ryu (orange)

My dragon. He has a trio of peppered cories and a snail as roommates. Oddly enough it is the snail that offends him. Well... that and his reflection. He spends hours chasing himself up and down the glass any time I leave the lights on. He'll only eat brine shrimp and bloodworms and is a complete pig about them. It's hard to get any by him. He clearly doesn't want to share any!

3rd: Iruka (pink/blue-green) marble?

He will eat everything and anything. I swear I never imagined that a betta could eat so much--I don't know where he puts it all. He'll eat anywhere from 8 to 12 pellets in one sitting, and is still looking for more. Unlike Windago who starts spitting them out after 4 or 5, or Ryu who won't even touch them.

The girls: Eris (redish) and Circe (white-yellow)

I just got them 4 days ago now so I am still getting to know them. Circe looks like she's going to be another spoiled one. So far she has only eaten bloodworms... and a fruit fly that she attacked like a starving viper. Eris seems less picky, but where Iruka can down 12 pellets, 2 looks like her 'stuffed point' im

Thanks for the complements--I'll pass them along to the fined-kids

I know that I was pretty surprised by the different personalities they have; I mean my cories and goldfish have personalities too... but I'd be hard pressed to describe them as different from each other! ;D

I'm glad that this site got me started on them... even if they require more effort then the other types of fish I have. And of course that is due to how engaging they are....and how spoiled I let them become
