I keep all males. I feed 3x a day. Each feeding is a different food. Between my grow-out & quarantine, I have roughly 40 sexed males. Mostly Malawis, some Victorians.

Caught my Placidochromis Phenochilus Mdoka White Lips shimmering last night. Beautiful fish. Managed to capture him displaying his dominance too.

 

Upgraded the boys to a 175G. That will be used as their grow out for the next 18 months or so, depending on when I get them into their true display. That will be 275G (I hope).

Tank is due next week. I’ll try photograph the process along the way!

 

New tank update. 5x2x2.5 175G (US) Acrylic It’s still a work-in-progress, but it’s looking good. I had an ich outbreak which I’m currently treating for (amongst other issues) but everyone’s doing well.

 

Update: Not too much has been going on, my personal life has kept me quite busy. I removed the rockwork, as it meant one specific fish kept digging and blowing sand into the water column. I’ve had quite a lot of sand in both FX6s.

The tank is looking great, I finally have the clarity where I want it and the sand bed is clean 24/7. There are new inhabitants in there, but I doubt anyone can notice which ones! I think I will be switching to the spray bar outputs this week.
