So I have kept gouramis in the past but it’s been a while. This is my first time having honey gouramis and I’m trying to determine sex. Did my best at the fish store but looking to confirm my what I already suspect. Photo 1 was bought as a “red” honey gourami who I believe to be female. Second photo is also supposed to be a red who I think is male. Third photo was sold to me as a “gold” honey gourami but that doesn’t seem right to me. I think it might be a male. 4th and 5th photo Was also sold as a “gold” but I’m not sure if it’s male or female.

Images two and three are not honey gourami. They are thick-lipped gourami. As for the sex, I am certain that images four and five are male. Image one looks like a female.

So the two “red honey gouramis” are likely thick lip and the other two are actually honey?
