If this is in the wrong place feel free to move me, I wasn't sure where to post.

I got 5 harlequin rasboras about 2 weeks ago now, and I've noticed them acting strange (I think) one fish will charge after another and either cut the second off or nip at it belly. Upon doing some research I figured I must have 4 males and 1 female (I think 4 are ganging up on 1) and I planned on going to get more female rasboras this weekend.

Today there is more chasing in general, and I noticed the one being chased occasionally releasing eggs (I think) when upright with no other fish around and the "eggs" they go straight down to the substrate. Is this just normal spawning behavior? I'm still planning on getting more rasboras because I want a bigger school anyway, but how can I tell the males and females apart?

Also I got a picture of the rasboras doing this, so I'll post it along with pictures of the school as a whole

I'm not positive but I think they lay there eggs on the underside of plant leaves. Mine I can only tell because the females will get fat with eggs.
