Could I get some help sexing Alex, my Bolivian Ram? I know this isn't the best picture.

Follow up. Is its coloring normal? I got this one at a LFS, but the ones I saw at Pet Smart had slightly different coloration. Then, to top it off, the pictures I see online show much more bright colors, but I've come to assume that's its mating coloration.

It might still be a juvenile and not fully colored yet.

Still young, but the shape of the abdomen strikes me as male.

Too young to tell from what I have read. And yes, colour comes in as it ages, :). We plan to get a pair this Summer, :).

Alex is just over 2" long.
Edit: I added that, because I thought someone asked?

I guess I'll just give Alex a little more time, but I was inclined to say male, too.

I love this little guy's personality, although he can be a bit shy. Definitely does not like water change day.
