Can anyone help tell me if this is a male or female Parkinson? I was told it was a male at the LFS.(best he could guess) It's still pretty small since it's a juvenile.

its hard to say, do you have any other parkinsons in the tank? if so, if the fish colors up nice and bright, it is a male.
the males differ from the females by having more intese colors and elongated fin rays of the first dorsal fin. The second dorsal fin and analfin can be enlarged as well... so is usually easier to sex if compared to another of its kind
sorry I couldnt help more

I currently have 2, since that's all the fish store had. They both color up on the tail and fins, but not the body. One turns Redish Orange and the other just orange(not a huge difference in color though) but, both have a dark black on the edge of there fins and tail edge. Thanks for the reply

I would think the redish orange is the male or at least the dominant male...it takes rainbows a little while to settle in and start to color up
