It is a female and it is quite fat right now. The picture is dark so I can't see well. She could be pregnant or have a dropsy disease. Could you post another picture that is a little lighter?

She looks pregnant to me...I think with dropsy they baloon kind of all over...she has a big belly, but otherwise her body looks normal. I would pull out that net breeder and wait for babies....I'm waiting for two of my mollies to give birth too (of course I didn't write down the excepted date of delivery, so now it's a wait and see game).

Do you have a male in the tank with her? If so, you can expect babies about 28-30 days after she gives birth again. Just FYI ;D

That's not necessarily true. My brother in law had a Molly that was pregnant for 2 month's before she finally had her babies. Be aware she will have many. She won't necessarily have them all at once either. She may have some and then a few days later have more. He had 50 fry or more when she was all done giving birth. Natalie

Well, look at your picture. See how her bottom fin looks like a fan? That's definetely a girl. A bor would just have a pointed fin...NO fan. Good luck.

Izabela

PS.
Although mollies don't HAVE to give birth every month, they CAN...mine do

Pretty much...they'll kinda move it around, but it does not fan out. Sorry if this is too technical, but someone else expalined it like this to me and it worked....the boys anail fin is like a **** (it is actually a gonopodium) and the girls have a fan.
