Sex of Gold Gouramis

Hi,

I have two gold gouramis and was pretty sure one was male and one female based on the male being larger and a darker colour.

having done some reading online I’m now not 100% sure if this and think they could both be males.

I have attached 2 photos of each of them if anyone is able to help advise if they can tell?

 

I would say they are a pair. Males have have a longer dorsal fin that comes to a sharp point. Females have a shorter dorsal that’s rounded at the tip.

She also has a more rounded and deeper belly, usually seen in females.

Also, mature males are typically somewhat smaller than mature females are.

have got a few better pictures of them both togther. To confirm do you think the darker Gourami with the longer fin is this male and smaller lighter one the female?

 

Actually, in your first set of images, the first pic is the male, second and third are the female and the last one is the male again.
