Several Questions?

image.jpg Okay, hey there! I’ve been a fish owner for, I’d like to say maybe 8 months? But that doesn’t, by any means, mean that I’m experienced. Far to the contrary, I’m afraid, so I have some questions about my Betta.
First off, I just recently finished completely redoing my Betta tank, meaning it isn’t cycled, but my Betta’s been in an uncycled tank since I first got him and he seems to be doing great. I just want to know if his tank is too empty, too full, or just right?
The second question is that his fins seem to be a little bit ripped up? I’ll send you guys a picture, please let me know if this is a cause for concern? Fin rot? I don’t know. Anyway, thanks in advance, and sorry if this is such a lengthy post!

I think the overall tank looks pretty good- maybe you could try adding some tall background plants? About the fin rot, I'm not an expert, so I don't know if it is or isn't.

Good luck!

He may have s little in the caudal fin area but clean water will take care of it. It may be due to uncycled tank. Should improve once cycled. Overall, he looks beautiful and the tank looks great. I would add something in the back, perhaps. Nice job!

I would add maybe another taller plant closer to the surface that's live or silk. Keep the water clean and pristine to heal up the little rips.

He probably has ripped fins due to the filter what I would do is cover that up with a small section of pantyhose and secure it with a rubberband or zip tie it. Make sure there are no sharp objects he can catch himself on
