Hello all!
I am a new member as well as new to the Aquarium World and I really like to see you all experienced members helping each other
I need some assistance in a matter by you.

The matter is that I have bought an Aquarium and I want to know any system with which I would need less maintenance
By less maintenance I mean about a way by which I would only need to change water, not clean gravel
maybe keeping small fishes would do the trick, or maybe plants which use fish waste as their food?

Thanks and I am really excited + anxious to see your reply

Welcome to Fishlore

I would suggest looking into a Walstad Method for a tank that requires less maintenance. This link is the abbreviated version of the Walstad Method:

It requires a lot of maintenance at the beginning, but once the tank stabilizes less maintenance is required.

Either super planted with only a few fish (like the link above) or totally bare bottom, where the waste gets siphoned out with the water. Bare bottom looks pretty yuck between water changes though, and I love the planted look..

You could also try sand; you don't vacuum it per se but just run the siphon over the surface. With gravel the debris sinks into the substrate, but with sand it just sits on the surface so it is easy to remove.

Sand is great but needs to be stired to keep nitrogen pockets from forming. So still little maint.

With plants you don't do anything except hover the syphon to pickup debris on the substrates surface.

I also searched and came to know about a device known as 'Bio Wheel' and people say that when you use this with some other water filtration etc, your fish tank can be clean as crystal.
hmmmm..........
any suggestion for this as well ?

The biowheel is excellent for processing ammonia out of the water, but no filter replaces water changes. This also leaves waste collecting in or on the substrate, so you would still need to vacuum. Despite manufacturers claims, no product will eliminate regular maintenance.

Your profile says you don't know about the nitrogen cycle? You should definitely read the stickies in the freshwater beginners section, it may clear up a lot of confusion.
