setting up frag tank

jingles230

I was wondering if it would be complicated to setup a little 5 gallon frag tank. the lighting shouldnt cost that much and I already have a heater and I could get a filter, what else do I need?

thanks

with any tank, the smaller the volume, the more the tank notices chemistry, that is, larger tanks are more forgiving. If you want to frag corals, that could end up being a worthwhile investment, perfect chem is always important, but anything you can do to help the human factor is probably worthwhile. If you could run a minI sump to increase the water volume, that could be an asset.

sumps are a bit of a headache to me, my pet store said I can sell-trade- or get store credit off them and how long does it take for green star polyps and waving hand xenia to grow to a medium size because they are 20 bucks for medium size

If your water conditions are good, xenia and gsp will both grow like weeds.
