Setting Up A Long Shallow 15g

    This would be a planted tank how will I setup the light? Tank is 30 long 12 deep 10 high. Main fish would be apistos only (borelli) also what dither fish would be fine?

    @TexasDomer is the stocking expert around here :)
    As for the lighting 30inch is a pretty standard size, for a shallow tank just be sure you don't get something too strong for the depth...
    finnex stingray, finnex 24/7 SE, chihiros series a on a low setting are all good options.

    thanks was wondering if the lights would be diy how high would I set it up it would be 10 watts led (900lumen).

    I use DIY lighting - dome fixtures with CFL or LED bulbs.

    For dither fish, since the tank is so shallow, I would go with something like pgymy or marbled hatchetfish. They stay at the surface anyway, so the shallowness of the tank won't really affect them.

    Pencilfish (nannostomus) might be another option for a dither :) I was recently admiring some beauties at my LFS, and they do well with apistos.
