HI All, I finished setting up the Angel tank yesterday and put the two in. They are pretty happy to have more room now then they did for almost a week behind the divider in the Discus tank. Here are a few photos of the new set up. I added some plastic plants and two silk plants. I wanted some live amazon sword plants but the LFS had a small selection and waiting on a delivery so I will go back next week to pick some up and remove a plastic plant then. What do you think? ;D ~ kate

Very nice. Looks like you are making those angelfish happy, and they look like they're good quality.

Thank you chief-waterchanger.... ;D It was fun putting another tank together. The marble angel must have been fin nipped before I bought it, and its fins seem to be a bit stunted, but I've noticed that they are growing back.. slowly but growing back. The other angel really has long fins and is gorgeous. Not sure if they are males or females or a male and female, only time will tell. But at least they have always got along well together, so that's the main thing. ;D

HI Kate....great tank! I came on the angel thread to read up - having been bitten by the MTS bug, I decided I want to get a larger tank and have a community tank. When I told my husband ( get that - "told") he didn't freak out. Step one! Right now I am researching the kind of fish I want, and how large a tank. I am thinking 29 g also, since there is a nice one with a nice stand at Walmart for $198. Stand has four shelves n the left and a smoked glass door with shelves on the right.

I have been getting books from the library, but thought I could learn more here. I love angels, and I love those discus?? think you have a blue one???

Your angels are so big! will they get that tank to themselves??? Lucky guys.

Well, I am going to continue reading and may PM you when I have more questons regarding new setup.

Right now I am in waiting for my baby girl betta!!! LOL

Again, beautiful tanks!! Val

HI Val.... Thank you!
A 29 gallon is a great size for a community tank and so much fun to stock, and decorate. That is a great price there, hope you do decide on one. I find everything I need to read up on fishcare online these days. There is so much information out there, that its making the trip to the library unnecessary for me anymore.

I've had the angels for almost 6 months now and am surprised at how much they have grown in that time. They are getting pretty big. Yes, they will have that 29 gallon to themselves, lucky guys is right! lol...

I had fun decorating it, its so much different than my other 29 community tank. But getting the blue gravel instead of the natural pea gravel that I use in all the tanks except two Betta tanks was hard to rinse off. The blue dye kept washing out and having it in a 5 gal bucket took quite awhile to finally get the water to run clear. I was surprised. But it worked out ok in the end. I found the back drop at the LFS, guess it was on clearance for only 98 cents a foot, compared to the 2.49 a foot for others, so I said.. what the heck. It is a submersed picture of what can be Atlantis with the roman columns and the blue water. The middle of the picture is a women statue around the stone columns, thought it would look neat behind the water wand. The blues give the tank a calming feel to it and being different than the natural colors of the other tanks, its nice to look at for me. Now I need Amnagria's roman Colosseum decoration in it!!

Two discus would look nice in your 29 gallon too.... or the Angels let me know what you decide and feel free to PM any questions. Yes I have a blue discus named Ricky Blue!

...... ONE more day til the female Betta's come in!!! ;D Hope you find the one your looking for!!!
