Serpae tetras

Bullying, nipping and aggression in my fish tank makes me sad.
Fishkeeping should not make me sad.
Will Serpae tetras make me sad?

First off, your original stocking plan looks good and yes a bristlenose pleco would be fine

As for the serpaes, most of the time those stories turn out to be just that- stories. Your 36 should have enough room for both schools without problems

Perfect, thank you! I got so worried! I was thinking maybe bumping both schools up to ten to keep the aggression down. They haven't stopped chasing each other yet but I don't know if they are actually doing damage or just chasing.

Well just keep an eye on it, it's all you can do really

Well, my fish store accepts returns on fish within 14 days so I COULD also return them. but yeah. I'll let them establish. I got them first because they were the smallest at the fist store, so I figured adding the smallest first would keep aggression down.

I have serpaes in a school and have never noticed any chasing or nipping.
