I am planning my 55 gal tank and am wondering if 6 red eye tetras and 5 serpae tetras will get along. The tank will also have two angels, 2 siamese algae eaters and some corys (still working on which ones).

All but the serpae tetras are in a tank together now; the serpaes are in another tank (with gold tetras and all get along fine).

Thanks!

A lot of people report Serpae to be nippy. I haven't found it to be so but if they are they might be a problem with your Angels. Red eyes are not the most timid or smallest tetras so they should be fine with the Serpae tetras.

I think they would be fine together. Both are tough fish

I have Serpaes with my Angelfish and some other Tetras. I have no problems with nipping.

I actually think your set up will be fine.
