Selling 3d Printed Items

hello

edit: I just learned I can generate invoices with Paypal, so when you order, if you tell me what you want, and in what color, and give me your paypal email address, I can send you an invoice!

I design things for my aquariums when I'm bored, and I've had people ask if I plan to sell them so I decided to sell some here. All prints are printed in PLA, which is considered food safe and freshwater aquarium safe. Saltwater tanks can use ABS parts, but I do not like to print with ABS at home!! PLA will degrade if left in saltwater tanks for extended periods of time, so I can't recommend it. People have been using PLA items safely in freshwater aquariums since 3d printers became available to the general public.

Shipping on most things is $3 to cover postage + packaging materials, but certain things I can combine in a bigger bag for the same price, just ask.

If you see anything in my 3d printing thread in the DIY forum that isn't listed here, but that you are interested in, let me know and we can likely work something out.

I'm also open to doing custom work, but keep in mind that kind of thing takes a lot longer than just printing and shipping something I've already designed, so we'll need to negotiate a price for extra design time involved.

I have these colors. See attached picture for examples.

Black
White
Blue
Red
Green
Orange (Sorta peachy orange)
Grey
Purple
Yellow

It may take a little while to get to every order, but I'll try to keep things down to less than a few days of processing time, and I'll certainly give an estimate after we talk. I only have one printer, and I run an Etsy store that I need to prioritize prints for to keep within their seller expectations.

This will be a pic-heavy thread, so I think the easiest thing for me to do is reserve the next post and then upload pictures to imgur to group them together better, if that's ok.

Items will go in the first post after this one!

Item #1 - Plant tiedown clips
Quantity per pack:
8 small, 8 large, or 4 of each.
Price per pack: $4.25
Description: Each pack has 8 clips that snap shut over your plant vines or roots, then are pushed under your sand or gravel substrate and keep the plant buried nicely.

-------------------------------------------------------

Item #2 - API Test vial and cap drainage station
Price each:
$6 for 4 drying locations, $7 for 6.
Description: This is a drying rack for your set of 4 (or 6) API vials and lids. There are 2 screw holes should you decide to fasten it to a shelf.

-------------------------------------------------------

Item #3 - Moss Rack
Price:
$3.50 for small, $4.25 for the large rack.
Description: These racks are for you to attach your mosses to, then attach to the sides of your tank using standard suction cups. The large one uses two, and the small one uses one.
Large bed dimensions - 5.8" x 2.1" x .15" (Can be altered slightly)
Small bed dimensions - 3" x 2.1" x .15"(Can be altered slightly)

-------------------------------------------------------

Item #4 - API Testing Station + Drying Rack Combo
Pricing:

- $7 = 4 drain and test locations
- $8 = 5 drain and test locations
- $9 = 6 drain and test locations
- $10.50 = 8 drain and test locations

Description: This holds your vials upright during testing, and has a slot to keep the reference sheet upright behind them. When you're done, there are posts for drying both the vials and the caps. Not pictured is the updated version that adds a water collection tray for the caps as well (thanks to mossman for the suggestion on that!)

-------------------------------------------------------

Item #5 - Garden Hose Water Change Tool
Price:
$6.50 (Specify whether you want male or female threads on yours)
Description: I originally made this to add water back into the tanks without disturbing the bottom too much, and made a separate one to do the vacuuming with, but found that this one works best for both. It lets me pass over the sand substrate, pulling up debris but not disturbing the sand. Threads onto a standard garden hose for those of us with DIY water change systems.

-------------------------------------------------------

Item #6 - 3 Piece Cactus Aquarium / Terrarium Decoration
Price:
$5.25
Description: This was custom designed for a user on Fishlore, but I thought I'd add it here in case anyone else was interested. It stands 5" tall and will be shipped flat in 3 pieces that you can assemble as shown below! Note: It will likely float, at least at first. The base is large enough to cover with substrate to help hold it down. Super glue sticks to PLA like crazy too, if you wanted to go that route instead!

Item #7 - 3 Piece Christmas Tree!
Price:
$6.00
Description: This design is based off the cactus decoration, but a bit more festive! It stands 5" tall and will be shipped flat in 3 pieces that you can assemble as shown below! Note: It will likely float, at least at first. The base is large enough to cover with substrate to help hold it down. Super glue sticks to PLA like crazy too, if you wanted to go that route instead! The base will most often come in green to match the tree, but it gets buried under the substrate anyway.

Hi! Here are the dimensions on both racks. I'll also add them to OP! What dimension are you looking for? Shortening or extending it slightly wouldn't be a big deal, I can do that free of charge.

Large bed dimensions - 5.8" x 2.1" x .15"
Small bed dimensions - 3" x 2.1" x .15"

Please remember the BST board is not a discussion board, questions other than about purchasing what the op is offering should be in a separate thread on the appropriate board or taken to pm.

Sure thanks! What color are you looking for? I have a black one already printed (I might have a white one too but not sure without checking). I can mail the one I have tomorrow, or you can give me until early next week to print the color of your choosing. PM me when you get a chance!

I managed to get Val's order out about a minute before the mail lady showed up (already had the part laying around). I just dropped Fishcat's package in the mailbox, and will have Nana's package ready tomorrow, but may miss the mail and have to send it out Friday, just depends on when I get home from work :S

I'm thankful to all those who ordered, I hope you're thrilled with the parts you get

Alright I'm all caught up! I shipped Nana's order today!

Here's an updated picture of the test/drain combo design. The original pictures didn't show the extra water catch added under the caps to improve that area.

Nope, the screw spacing made for uneven spacing on the testing area so I just added a 5th one to even things out

I broke like half my printer over the week but upgraded and replaced a bunch of components and we're back in business! I'm also going to start trying to keep the test and dry stations stocked in black, white, and red since those sell most.
By the way if I didn’t tell you it’s made my life easier for sure I think t will order another

Hi, is it possible to add all rows to number 5? I mean add the 5th post in both drain lines where there are only 4 and 4 posts now. Great item! I'm thinking about ordering two of them.

I just added a new item to the first page!

I ordered a TARDIS for my betta Rose Tyler (and her snail, Mickey) and I'm thrilled with it!

tumblr_pgtpk8MJfY1re5k1q_540.jpg

The cory cats even got their own little TARDIS (a smaller size than Rose's) and they quite like their new ornament.

Thank you so much! They're perfect.

And thanks for posting a pic of that Tardis, I’m glad you like it!

Price:

Description: This design is based off the cactus decoration, but a bit more festive! It stands 5" tall and will be shipped flat in 3 pieces that you can assemble as shown below! Note: It will likely float, at least at first. The base is large enough to cover with substrate to help hold it down. Super glue sticks to PLA like crazy too, if you wanted to go that route instead! The base will most often come in green to match the tree, but it gets buried under the substrate anyway.
