So I’m going to be getting a 40 gallon tank and I’m going to move my cannister filter to that one and I’m ordering a couple sponge filters for the my 20G axolotl tank. How can I seed these filters? I’m going to put them in while the cannister is still running on the 20G

You will need to put then the 20g with your canister still running for a minimum of 4 week IMO then they should be seeded enough to hold your cycle after you move the canister filter.

Forgot just a reminder to watch your perameters on the 20g close to make sure your cycle is good after the canister filter is moved. The 20g is cycled already with the canister filter on it right and how like long has it been cycled.
