Hello. Has anyone who has a Seachem Tidal filter had spawning Gouramis? I’m setting up a 40g tank with a Tidal 55 and was thinking of getting a pair of Honey Gouramis, but am concerned that the bubble nest at the surface won’t survive with the filter’s skimmer. From what I understand, the skimmer can be adjusted, but not completely turned off. Maybe I could duct tape the slots on the skimmer... Thanks for any input.

If you have a healthy amount of floating plants, plants that reach the surface of the water or hardscape, they will anchor their nest onto these areas (like a rope tying directly to the bottom of the tank)

Thank you for your feedback! I’ll make sure to have some floating plants.

Sorry no but you could try this on the skimmer.
