Both are just as good if you only need to add a little.
With RO water you may be adding a lot ? If adding more than a pinch the Equilibrium is much more suited to growing plants in a planted tank.

Used to adjust GH .

It will be a low tech planted tank. My water is moderately soft and I wanted it a little bit harder and have a bit more minerals. Based on this info, which one is better for my situation?

I have used both and saw no difference in behaviour of the fish, shrimp or snails.
As these minerals are required by fish to be healthy not having them is more of a problem than having them at the correct level.

I am currently adding a mix sold by my local aquarium shop because I found it difficult to get a reliable supply of ether in my town.

Adding minerals to change water is not something anyone just does because they want to .
The species you keep will dictate what the water should be.

A quick look at this chart will show that many species find a wide range of hardness acceptable.

PH , GH and KH are all interconnected you can’t just change one without affecting them all.

Sorry I appear to not have a simple answer for you.
If you want a simple answer then use some Equilibrium.
You will definitely need a GH and KH test kit before you start messing with the water.
It is normal to say don’t mess with the water fish can adjust.

Without you stating your PH GH and KH I get the impression you don’t really know. ?

It's fine! No need to be sorry! It was my fault for not understanding. So, I will get a kh-gh test kit from amazon and research on the fish and plants and determine what parameters they prefer and compromise. OK, thank you so much for helping me out Flyfisha !!
