Sooooooo soooooo happy right now, as some of you know I live in Sweden and obtaining products that you guys use in the US like Seachem products, the API master kit etc has been a bit of a pain in my buttocks, almost all my stuff I use I have had shipped from overseas but finally!!! I have found a place here in Sweden that sells Seachem Prime!!!!

So have just ordered 2x 250ml bottles off the stuff, bye bye Tetra Aqua Safe!!

But I also noticed that they have Seachem Garlic Guard, and was wondering if I should pick up a bottle or 2 of that as well?

What do you guys think?

thanks in advance
Ben

Congrats! Garlic Guard is generally used to make medicated foods more palatable, though it certainly won't hurt your fish with regular use. It's supposed to be good for their immune systems besides tasting really good. You can make your own by chopping some garlic cloves and soaking them in water, it would essentially be the same and nowhere near as expensive.

Cool mate then I'll skip that purchase, might just pick up some garlic from the store then and make my own
Thanks for the input mate.

In relation to Garlic, here's some info a fellow moderator regularly posts
Good afternoon,

Here is info I like to post on the subject:

Adding Garlic Guard or garlic juice onto the fish food 2 or 3 times each week will help to boost the fishes immune system. (link below for garlic juice):
minced garlic in a jar..just an example for those needing it
Garlic Guard:

Making your own juice, recipe:
"Benefits of garlic:

Purifies blood; detoxifies; lowers cholesterol levels; lowers blood pressure; blood thinner; prevents blood clots; boost immune system; prevents heart disease and strokes; destroys cancer cells; muscle relaxant; antibiotic; antifungal; suppresses growth of tumors
Using a medium size bulb; peel cloves apart, snip off ends; microwave cloves for 5 to 10 seconds to pop hulls; remove hulls; cut the length of the cloves in thin slices; place in cup of hot (from tap) water; cover, and let sit at room temperature for 12 hrs; mash the cloves and strain for immediate use; refrigerate until needed. good for two to three weeks.
The longer the cloves soak, the stronger the solution."

The information above comes from the link below:

Vita Chem (for additional vitamins) added to the fish food and directly into the tank will help the fishes overall health. Follow the directions on the bottle.

Woohoo looked what just arrived in my mailbox! I know for you people living in the states this is nothing but seeing as I'm living in Sweden finally being able to track down a retailer here in Sweden that sells the stuff was quite a challenge

So no more Tetra Aqua Safe for me! So happy
