I just picked up a sea urchin from the local salt store and my blue hippo tang is not in agreement with it. The people at the store said the mix would be fine for the fish and corals (I have no corals) but it stung her twice and she keeps picking at it. Is this normal? What should I do?

Well if anyone knows any reason why this is happening let me know! The store clerk and various websites told me it was a legit combo but I guess I will have to return the urchin so it does not get hurt.

I have 4 various urchins and one blue hippo tang. He's never even given the urchins a second look. My Tang doesn't seem to care about anything, but swimming around and food. Doesn't brother anything.
My tang came after the urchins, though. Might be the differance.

If it was my tank and fish/urchin, I think I would just keep a close eye on the tang and give it a few days. The tang may lose interest.

Is there anyway to divide the tank when you can't be there and let them get used to each other slowly?
