Just got a new 20 gallon today. Was setting up the glass lid until it fell in the empty fish tank. It now has a small scratch on the bottom its more like a 1 millimeters small dent that is almost unnoticeable. Should i be concerned about this?

I personally wouldn't worry about it, but then, I don't have much experience with stuff like this so you might be better off waiting for other people's opinions.

Doubt it's a problem especially with substrate. But to put your mind at ease you could put some aquarium-safe sealant on the dent.

It's impossible to say without seeing it, even then it's impossible to say.

A drop of superglue then scrape smooth with a razorblade when it dries.

If it’s too small to see you should be fine. But I did have a small dent on a Fluval flex that ended up spider webbing 6 months down the road and emptied 15 gallons of water onto the floor. Fluval flex have pretty thin glass though. You just never know.

If it didn't immediately explode into thousand of little cubes when you scratched it you are safe.

You can get a new 20 gallon tank for 20 Bucks, and sell or use this for a reptile a storage, acraft project. but the damages caused by the mess, the time it takes to clean , the cost of the fish.... Its not worth it.

In the tanks i have had the bottom pane is always tempered glass which is nearly indestructible in an aquarium setting (not sure if little tanks are like this but it should have a mark saying tempered if it is). You would have to be purposefully trying to break it for it to give

true, and on top of that the whole thing tends to shatter into lots of little squares with tempered glass.
