Scored some new tanks today!

MTS has struck once again...

After going to my school's annual craft show this morning, I decided to stop and a small shop nearby. I'm not really sure what to call the shop. It's not a thrift store, but it's similar. Anyway, I wasn't expecting to find anything because the shop consists of a very small building crammed full of useless stuff and 3 old semI trailers.

To my surprise, I ended up leaving with a nice 2.5g bow with a lighted hood ($5), a 5.5g ($5), and an oak trim 55 gallon with a T12 strip light ($45).

So three tanks nice looking tanks for $55!

The 2.5g has already been set up for my shrimp. The 5.5g will be set up with dirt for plants and a betta so I can take the ugly divider out of my 10g. The 55 gallon will probably be a ram grow out tank eventually, as well as being planted to the max!

Just thought I'd share my accomplishment of the day!

Well here's the two smaller tanks set up.

1st is the 2.5g with Sakura Shrimp and plants. I also bought a pack of plant bulbs ad threw them in today. I will eventually scape it a little better, but for know, it's gonna stay messy!

Next is the 5.5g. I bought some Miraclegro organic choice soil today and put that in with a sand cap. I then bought some crypt wendtiI red, hygrophila kompakt, and some ophiopogon japonica (mondo grass, which was marked as aquatic, but apparently isn't). I put a corner filter from another tank in it.

I'm so glad to finally put one of my bettas in it own tank and get rid of the divider in my 10g!
