So...I've been keeping an eye out for just the right tank and being wishy washy, haven't found it. I figured that when the right tank came along, I would know! Wanted something longer than my 40B, wider than 12", and taller than 18"...but as much less than 90 gallons as possible.
This morning I had to make a totally innocent run into town for a cleaning product when I remembered a thrift shop I hadn't visited yet because it was always closed or just because it's around a blind curve and I never remember it's there in time to turn off. The turn is quite close to an intersection, too so it's not really easy or safe to get into from any other direction. Anyway, remembered, stopped in. Big signs everywhere saying 50% OFF EVERYTHING! Cool. Found a book that looked interesting but it was mostly used clothing and kitchen goods and stuff I really didn't need. When I got to the back I saw that there was a whole room of off-limits stuff not yet priced and asked an employee at the door if they had any fish tanks or supplies. Was I surprised when she said oh yeah! They had a couple of tanks but they were behind the building because there was no room in the store. I was even more surprised when I saw them. One is a 95 gallon wave front tank with a bulkhead and 2 drilled holes for a sump. Oh well, for a wave front I'm willing to take a chance at plugging them, assuming of course I'm allowed to have such a huge tank. The other one is an 80 gallon. 48x16x24 inches and exactly what I had in mind. I'm still assuming I can have a tank this large.
Even thought I have no idea whether I will be allowed to use either of them I bought them both. For 65 dollars!!! I'm so excited I don't know what to do
