Schooling Pictures?

Can you guys show me pictures of the schools you have in your tanks? Something around the size of neon tetras. I keep trying to decide what kind of school I want in my tank and it's hard to decide without being able to see the fish actually together. My tank is going to have a pair of honey gouramis, a female bn pleco, a school of cories and a school of 12-15 middle dwellers

I don't have any pictures to prove this, sadly but Emerald Dwarf Rasboras are a favorite nano species of mine. As you may already be aware though, only males have that beautiful blue & orange coloration - they are also very skittish & shy fish, even more so than CPDs, IME. Also, unless you're up close to the tank when viewing or photographing them, they all just appear as vaguely greyish fish.
Not trying discourage you from getting these guys, but unless you have specific tastes for them, larger, less-shy, and flashier schoolers might be a better option if you're looking for a species that you would actually be able to see most of the time, that wouldn't flee at first sight, and would appear attractive to all viewers.

I really like super small schooling fish. But I don’t want them to be shy, so maybe I’ll try to look for something else

What about ChilI Rasboras? They stay below an inch, aren't very shy, and are bright red.

Eh. I’m getting honey gouramis so I’d like something a little different of a color that would compliment them

Hope you like the pics.
For the record, those are cardinal tetras.
The one great thing about them, is that they are always viewable out in the open.

I always wanted to try praecox rainbows.
I don't know how they are to keep But I'm envious.

you could get a mixture of neon tetras, gold neons, black neons, green neons, and normal neons.

I thought that they were, I think neons would fit better with the temperature I’m going to have though (74 ish). Yours are beautiful!

Are those yours? I’ve never heard of gold neons but they’re very pretty. I’m just nervous with the neon tetra fish disease that’s been going on

no they aren't mine, I have a local fish store (not a petsmart or petco) that got them in recently and they’re beautiful. I'm gonna snag a few to put in my 10 gal. I'm gonna do essentially the same stocking I recommended to you, I'm either gonna do 5 normals and 5 golds or do 4 normals, 3 gold, and 3 blacks. I haven't decided yet

also, I never heard of them til I saw them there either. theyre amazing, theyre kinda translucent but when they shimmer theyre a beautiful gold

also, what neon tetra disease do you speak of? I haven't heard anything of it but id love to learn. also! I saw that you're located in ohio and if you're in northeastern ohio check out a place called RMS aquaculture. that's where I go for all my fish and where they had the gold neons. its a very beautiful place

My tank is overgrown right now so I can't get a good picture but my harlequin rasboras are awesome schoolers. I have them with the cardinals and although the cardinals are bright and pretty, the rasboras stick together like you would expect a schooling fish to. They stay in the upper/middle and my cardinals stay in the middle/lower middle so they don't interact with each other and it looks beautiful together.

I won't be getting them for awhile, if you happen to get a picture sometime, I would love to see them!

Neons and gold neons will school together since gold neons are just a different colour but black neons don't school with the other two, they are different fish. Neons are Paracheirodon innesi, black neons are Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi.

I know this was posted a while ago, but I love my rummynose tetras. They mostly stay towards the bottom.
