I have a 35 gallon tall that I intend to set up. It is 12 in wide, 23 in high, and 30 in long. I know that I want to keep a school of cory's and an angelfish. I'm looking for suggestions on a mid-top level schooling fish that would get along with my angel. I have considered molly's or platys but I am worried about having excessive fry causing the tank to be over stocked. The ph of my tap after is 7. Thank you for any suggestions.

Cardinal tetras and rummynose tetras are popular choices to stock with angel fish. They are temperature compatible, large enough not to be snacks, and have slender bodies (nice contrast to the angel's wide flar body).

Thank you I will look into cardinal tetras. I think they would give a lot of extra color.

How many cardinals do you think I could do?
