Scarlet Gem Badis Tank Mates?

HI there, I am going to be making a ten gallon tank for a pair of scarlet gem badis. I have done a ton of research on tank mates and due to there shy behavior it is hard to get them to feed around other fish. I thought about keeping a single sparkling gourami with them that I currently have in another tank. I have also heard of keeping them with hara jerdoni. If there are any other options please let me know.

I've heard of people keeping them with dwarf spotted rasboras with success, you just have to make sure to get food to them. No bottom dwellers for sure.

I just keep mine with shrimp, so I'm not sure how they would react to other fish. If you want to fill up your 10g, a large shrimp colony would add a lot of color.

Key for their survival is non-aggressive and non-FAST fish with them. Oddly, the sparkling may be a good choice.

You might consider their various cousins;
Dario dario [Scarlet Badis]
Badis badis [Chameleon fish]
Badis rubeus [Red chameleon fish]

I had a 40B with 5 of the Badis/Dario species, a breeding trio of Astraulus (sp?) killifish, a mob of Clown killifish and the almost requisite troupe of Pygmy corydoras.
It was a fun tank
