Scarlet Badis Diet

so yesterday I picked up 5 red Scarlet Badis from my LFS. I asked what they fed them and the reply was bloodworms and crushed up flakes. Is this ok or should I feed them something else?

 

They won't eat flakes. Try live food, they like shrimp and daphnia.

 

Frozen and live foods are the only way to feed them(Unless you get lucky and wean them onto flakes and pellets).

I would try:
Bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, mosquito larvae, blackworms, etc.

 

If you get really lucky, they might try flakes or pellets, otherwise, it's all live feedings.

Would my lfs or even petsmart or petco possible have these for sale? I have the freeze dried bloodworms but they don’t show very much interest.

I never see them at my local PetCo, or PetSmart.
Maybe you can ask them, if not, just look online, or any special aquatics stores that might be near you.
