Scales peeling on my red tail

Georgi623

Does anyone know what this might be. My water parameters are good. I have a small tank at the moment 29g waiting for my 65g to come in.
I have four cherry barbs, one emerald Cory cat, one tetra and three red tails.

it’s just one of my red tails. He is the most aggressive one.

Given the small tank and the fact that sharks are very territorial, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from fighting.
How long has the tank been set up?

For about two months. I only had the sharks in there for about three weeks.
It seems like he has claimed a spot and just chases one other red tails around. Maybe they just don’t like each other lol

I can’t deny it’s from fighting. When the tank upgrade happens I imagine that these wounds will appear less, if not at all. What does the tank currently look like? Any structure to define territories?

It’s very rare to be able to keep freshwater sharks together unless you have a huge tank. I did know someone who kept a few rainbow sharks together but it was a 200 g tank!
So yes, I would surmise they don’t like each other! They will harass each other to death. And I speak this from personal experience. It’s a long story!
