Hello All! So I ordered some shrimp and along with these shrimp will come a piece of xmas moss. I will be adding this to my tank and I was wondering if I needed to do anything to this before I added it? The tank is a 3.5 gallon heated, filtered, and cycled tank. The tank houses 1 male betta, 2 ghost shrimp, and will have 6 more dream blue velvet shrimp. I also have three marimo moss balls and 1 anubias nana. I didn't sanitize the marimos or the anubias before I added them but I also didn't get them with shrimp. Thank you all in advance!

So just rinse it in a very mild bleach solution and then again a couple times in WC water. This is especially important in nano tanks

I don't sanitize plants before adding them to the tank.

I just put new plants in the QT for a few days. Trying to prevent pest snails. But I still get them. Just not into that dipping thing. But that's just me.

Do you rinse with tank water or just tap?
