Sand for Community Tank

I was wondering where i can find a sand substrate that won't effect the water parameter.

I use Estes marine sand. Its for all water types despite it's name. I found it at my LFS, so you may or may not be able to find it. It was $3 for a 5 pound bag. I think it was about $15 for a 25 lb bag.

But pool filter sand works just the same

uhhhhhhh, yeah....... I wouldn't have suggested it if it wasn't

Considering the style tank you want to have, it's ideal. after all, it is FILTER sand.
