Salty Shrimp Gh/kh+ And Distilled Water

I purchased a 5 gallon jug from Home Depot to keep distilled water and salty shrimp gh/kh+ mix for my cherry shrimp tank. I must have used too much salty shrimp (2 1/4 level scoops) in 5 gallons distilled water. My parameters are off. I made this mix before with 3 gallons distilled water and 1 1/4 salty shrimp that is in my 5 gallon tank now. I am new to Cherry Shrimp and Distilled Water, Salty Shrimp aquarium.

My current tank readings:
ph 6.6/6.8 ppm
ph-h 7.4
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 5/10
tds 244
gh 7/8
kh 3/4.

The new 5 gallon mix of distilled water and salty shrimp readings:
ph 7.8/8.0
ph-h 8.0
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
tds 232
gh 11/12
kh 3/4.
Ph and Gh are high, no Nitrate reading. Do I just add more distilled water to adjust these readings?
Thanks in advance for all help!

The method to reduce salt content in water is to add fresh water. I don't know this method of shrimp keeping but that is what I would do. If you do add water, I would drip add so that you can frequently check salinity and not shock the shrimp with too rapid of a change.

The water is in a 5 gallon jug so I don’t need to use the drip method. Using it for water changes only. I can mix water a little at a time and check it. If I use tap water I will have to use Prime. Does distilled water and salty shrimp mix with tap water and prime?

Simple answer yes it will.

Simple answer yes it will.
I already tried it but I didn’t add enough tap water and Prime. Going to have to keep taking the distilled water out of the jug and adding the tap water until I get it right! I don’t know the ratio for mixing tap water and distilled water but I will eventually get it.
Thanks again for your help!!
